to be a
voice of hope
Did You Know? In Nigeria
What is
Breast cancer
Breast cancer is a disease where cells in the breast grow uncontrollably, forming a lump or tumor. It usually begins in the milk ducts or glands and can spread to other body parts if untreated. Early detection and treatment greatly improve the chances of survival and recovery.
know the
symptoms
Common symptoms of breast cancer include a painless lump or thickening in the breast or underarm, changes in breast size or shape, dimpling of the skin, redness, or scaling. Other signs include nipple pain, discharge, or inversion. Any unusual breast changes should be checked by a healthcare professional.
assess
your risk
lower your risk of breast cancer by living a healthy lifestyle—eat balanced meals, exercise regularly, maintain a healthy weight, and limit alcohol. Avoid smoking, go for regular checkups, and know your family history. Most importantly, practice self-breast exams and seek medical help for any unusual changes early.
